Our team is always out and about showcasing the very best of Kent at tourism fairs, exhibtions and sales missions around the world. Read below about some of the most recent shows we've attended and how we found them.

  January 2018

With Kent having attended this show for many years, it is a well-known and popular destination for Dutch visitors. We were joined by partners Canterbury Cathedral, The Historic Dockyard, Leeds Castle and Jetstream Tours. We also were able to provide partner literature for others who couldn’t be there. We worked closely with House of Britain (one of the largest UK-inbound operators in the Netherlands) to produce a dedicated Kent brochure in Dutch which flew off the shelves, alongside tastings of juice, local gin and vodka and Kent crisps.

Popular themes with the Dutch market continue to be walking and cycling, food and drink, and especially camping and caravanning. We worked closely with our partners The Camping and Caravaaning Club to promote their temporary oversees memberships which proved very popular. Travelling to Kent from Holland via ferry into Dover is a popular choice, with many continuing to travel along the south coast to Devon and Cornwall.

This show remains a key opoprtunity for raising awareness and driving visitors to the county. All partners were very pleased with the show which remained busy throughout the week. Total number of visitors to the show this year was 105,000 (+3% compared to 2017)
