Visit Kent attends a number of key events and workshops to showcase the county and discuss the needs and requirements of tour operators in 1:1 meetings. We will attend one event in each of our target markets where appropriate. We will also be attending a number of new shows to asses the quality and benefits of exhibiting at these in the future. This will include the International Tourism Fair World Travel Show 2017 in Warsaw, Poland.

In 2017/2018, Visit Kent will attend these shows and is offering further opportunities for partners to attend. NB – the costs below are based on last year’s costs, as many of these have not yet been announced.

International World Tourism Fair

20th - 22nd October, Warsaw

Target Market - Poland and Eastern Europe

3 day exhibition for both B2B ad B2C visitors

Opportunities - BRAND NEW! This will be the first time Visit Kent will attend this event. Visit Kent will have a stand at the event and will gauge for further activities and opportunities for partners next year.

Footfall - 31,900 trade visitors expected to attend

ETOA’s Global European Marketplace

2nd - 4th November, London

Target Market - Europe

1:1 appointments with European tour operators and wholesalers

Opportunities - Send through details of any new information and developments for the team to brief tour operator buyers. Have your own pre-booked 1:1 appointments.

Footfall - Over 250 international tourism contractors expected to attend

Cost - To attend individually, you will need to become a member of ETOA, and then be charged a delegate fee for attendance. (Approx. £2,000)

World Travel Market

6th - 8th November 2017 , London

Target Market - Worldwide / European

3-day exhibition with stand on UKinbound stand in GB area

Opportunities - Visit Kent is offering 3 partners the opportunity to join the stand. The show is 3 days and would allow one partner to attend with Visit Kent on each day

Footfall - 51,500 travel trade professionals to attend

Cost - Cost: £1,250 for stand sharer (accommodation and travel expenses at own cost)

Vakantiebeurs 

9th - 14th January, Utrecht, The Netherlands

Target Market - The Netherlands

6-day exhibition with a Visit Kent stand on House of Britain stand

Opportunities - Visit Kent is offering partners the opportunity to join the stand with their own desk and branding, under a Visit Kent banner. We will be on the South England stand run by House of Britain, and we will be producing a dedicated Kent leaflet in Dutch. The show runs for 6 days and your desk will need to be staffed throughout the week

Footfall - 108,000 visitors attended in 2017

Costs: £1200 per pod (approx.) (Accommodation and travel expenses at own cost)

Target Market - UK 1-day exhibition meeting group organisers

Opportunities - Visit Kent will share a stand with ATAK. A large number of partners exhibit on their own right; however, Visit Kent would be delighted to take your leaflets on the Visit Kent stand

Footfall - 12,000 buyers expected to attend

Cost - Cost: Free to feature leaflets on Visit Kent stand

Go Travel Show

January, London

Target Market - UK 1-day exhibition meeting group organisers

Opportunities - BRAND NEW! This will be the first time Visit Kent will attend this event. We have heard good feedback about the show from attendees in 2017. Visit Kent is offering partners to join them on the stand on the day.

Footfall - 1000 visitors expected to attend

Coach Tourism Association's Conference

Target Market - UK 1-day conference, followed by afternoon of 1:1 appointments with coach operators

Opportunities - Send through details of any new information and developments for the team to brief tour operator buyers. Donate a prize for the charity raffle for an operator to win (all proceeds go to charity). Attend as Visit Kent's second delegate.

UKinbound's Annual Conference

4-day exhibition with first 2 days travel trade and weekend for consumers
