Economic Impact Model

The Cambridge Economic Impact Model is an industry respected tool for measuring the economic impact of tourism in a given area.  Knowing the volume and value of tourism is an essential part of developing relevant policies for managing tourism.

This exercise was conducted in 2007 for 2006 data and revealed that 45 million visitors had an economic impact of £2.5 billion in Kent and supported an estimated 50,669 jobs. The full 2006 Kent report, and District breakdowns can be found under the Cambridge Model 2006 link.
