The University of Kent in Canterbury is delighted to announce the launch of the new state-of-the art Sibson building to the conference, meetings and events sector.

The innovative design of the new state-of-the-art event venue succeeds in ‘bringing nature into all the lecture theatre and teaching spaces’, with the fabulous natural light throughout Sibson maximized to make the most of its idyllic woodland setting on the University’s Canterbury campus.

As well as a suite of 3 ultra-modern lecture theatres ranging in capacity from 120 up to 300 delegates and a range of 6 smaller meeting rooms for anything from 25 to 50 delegates, the bright and airy conference venue also features a fabulous range of collaborative social learning spaces, ideal for breakout groups. A key feature is the spacious central atrium – which is an ideal flexible space for pre- and post-event networking for up to 250 delegates, which also offers direct access on to an extensive outdoor terrace.

Kevin Stuckey, Director of Commercial Services (interim) at the University of Kent comments:

‘We are hugely proud to launch our outstanding new Sibson building which takes our conference facilities at the University of Kent to a whole new level. Our existing clients have been completely blown away by this stunning venue, with its woodland setting and natural light delivering a tranquil high quality venue enabling delegates to focus 100% on their event without any external distractions. We are confident the fabulous new facilities which Sibson offers will ensure we attract significant new business to the University in 2018 and beyond’.

The Sibson building is available for conferences, meetings and events throughout the spring and summer vacation periods at the University of Kent, which holds over 1,000 residential events on its 300 acre parkland campus each year.

The University of Kent also offers a wide range of award-winning accommodation for conference delegates across the Canterbury campus with the ensuite bedrooms at Keynes College, adjacent to Sibson, the most popular choice for conference delegates.
