Place Insights and Research Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Visit Kent and Visit Herts are looking for an enthusiastic team player to support our Research and Insights Manager to deliver key place brand insights and visitor economy research within the two counties, as well as across the wider Go To Places portfolio of destinations. Research and data analysis lies at the heart of our organisations, providing the insights and intelligence to inform our B2B and B2C activities, marketing campaigns, KPIs and wider strategies, as well as enabling us to give expert advice to the businesses we support.

 

This is a full-time, fixed-term position to cover maternity leave, and we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.

 

The key accountabilities of the role:

  • Have an overview of the different insights and research programmes and co-manage the research library
  • Look after the SNAP Surveys software platform and build surveys, as required (training will be provided)
  • Be a point of contact for internal and external research enquiries
  • Champion the role of research, evaluation, and intelligence led/evidence-based decision making throughout our organisations
  • Assist with the production of reports, communicate research results to different stakeholder groups, and ensure effective dissemination of information
  • Carry out regular onboarding sprints to increase samples and output robustness
  • Assist the Research and Insights Manager with initial primary research analysis of results
  • Support the Research and Insights Manager with secondary research collation and dissemination
  • Keep updated with, and disseminate external national and regional data and trends
  • Support the Research and Insights Manager with gathering data and building insights around what makes great places to live, work, study and invest in
  • Contribute to the delivery of potential research commercial contracts, as required
  • Oversee and update the research content on our B2B websites
  • Produce bitesize, insights led comms to be deployed across our B2B social channels
  • Support the Research and Insights Manager with exploring data visualisation tools that could improve our reporting whilst making efficiencies and increasing our commercial appeal

 

We are looking for:

  • An enthusiastic team player with a flexible and positive attitude and a great attention to detail
  • A degree in a research related discipline, or demonstrable experience in this field
  • Knowledge in analysis and report writing is desirable and would be an advantage
  • Professional or academic experience in interpreting trends and results to create insights
  • Professional or academic experience in small scale project management
  • Demonstrable experience in using any primary data collection methodologies and a good understanding of the various stages of a research project
  • Very good organisational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Someone who is confident liaising with, and presenting findings to both an internal and external audience
  • A highly motivated individual, keen to take on challenges and to deliver results on time, with a positive attitude and an ability to show initiative
  • Experience in working with infographics and other data visualisation tools would be an advantage
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft programmes
  • A passion for making places thrive and a motivation to see insights transform and develop strategies and activities
  • A strong interest in learning and a desire to improve

  • Salary £22,308 p/a
