Your organisation's purpose:

reWARD is a sustainable event as consultancy business.  Events are notorious for their waste and negative impacts on the environment - but there is another way! reWARD helps businesses rethink how they design their events with purpose: events that not only reduce the negative impact on the environment (waste, emissions, single- use plastics) but also drive positive change (accessibility, diversity and education).

Built on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reWARD also supports businesses with carbon literacy workshops, full carbon footprint reporting and supports event venues on their sustainability journey with sustainable accreditation.

What is your impact initiative?

reWARD is on a mission to make every event, a sustainable event. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional event experiences without compromise and all without judgement or jargon - sustainability is complicated enough!

The impact your initiative has had:

Sustainable events encompass pretty much all of the above!  All of our events are built on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and are fully carbon measured.  We promote a total re-imagination of events in a way that not only reduces carbon emissions and the negative impact on the environment but can also be a real positive experience and platform for change.

We design and execute events, offer consultancy, deliver training and workshops and can also help venues achieve accreditation to showcase their sustainable initiatives to customers.

Have you observed any direct benefits to your business or organisation as a result of the initiative?

Some would argue sustainable events cost more, we would argue sustainable events can save you money, make you money and drive customer value, retention and engagement - all whilst saving the planet.

Have you observed any benefits to your visitors as a result of the initiative?

Awareness, education, behaviour change.

Everyone knows we are in a climate crisis, but a lot of people don't know what to do or where to start.  Particularly in events, you could say the most sustainable event is no event but we know people will always need to meet in person.  So we have to change how we deliver our in person experiences.

Whether its corporate, leisure or tourist market, we can still have incredible events - just without the bad bits!

What category/categories does your initiative fall under?

  • Nature positive initiatives - conserving, preserving or restoring landscapes, habitats and wildlife
  • Minimising water use and water pollution
